Frequently Asked Questions

We’ve put together a list of the most frequently asked questions to help save you time and make planning a little easier. If we still haven’t answered your questions after reading this, please feel free to contact us via our web form and we’ll get back to you within 48 hours!

What is the Fern & Ivy Booking process?

Step 1: Start by filling out the booking form on our website.

Step 2: If we’re available for your date, we’ll get in touch to arrange an initial consultation to talk through your ideas, themes, and overall vision.

Step 3: After the consultation, we’ll put together a custom moodboard and an initial quote based on what we discussed. The quote is valid for 14 days, giving you time to review everything and ask any questions.

Step 4: When you’re ready to move forward, we’ll request a 10% deposit of the balance to secure your date.

Step 5: Once that’s done, you’re officially booked in! We’re available for any questions or support as your wedding day approaches.

Step 6: Between 4 – 6 weeks before the wedding, we’ll have a final consultation to go over any changes or additions. We’ll then send your final invoice to be paid.

Where are you based and how far do you travel for weddings?

We’re based in the North East and often work in areas such as Newcastle, Northumberland, northern North Yorkshire, and the southern parts of Scotland. That said, we’re always up for an adventure – so if your wedding is a little further afield, don’t hesitate to get in touch and we’ll do our best to make it work.

How far in advance should I contact you for my wedding flowers?

The sooner, the better – our dates book up quickly! Our diaries are open for both the current year and the next, so we’re happy to take enquiries well in advance, as well as accommodate last-minute bookings where possible.

Do you have a minimum spend?

Whilst we don’t have a minimum spend for flowers, please note that a lower budget may limit the variety we’re able to offer, as many blooms need to be ordered in bulk. We can offer advice on this following initial enquiry

Do you offer Faux arrangements

Yes – we love working with Faux arrangements which are perfect for destination weddings abroad. We can carefully package them for you to take away, ensuring they travel well.

We’ve created floral designs for weddings in locations such as Cyprus and Las Vegas. Best of all, they can be beautifully repurposed in your home after the big day

Do you offer any floristry workshops / classes?

Yes we do! We can offer any bespoke floral tutorials for North East Hen do’s, parties and events. We also offer seasonal wreath making classes often advertised on our Instagram and Facebook account. Feel free to enquire on our website if this is something you’re interested in
